Co-Founders

Uniqkid is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2013.

Karina is a Co-Founder of the Uniqkid organization and holds a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She is the Board Chair for Uniqkid, Inc., and has extensive experience working with special needs individuals using sensory integration techniques and innovative therapeutic programming. At Uniqkid, she has developed key operational strategies which include the implementation of a comprehensive staff training manual, work protocols and an outreach campaign. Karina has worked at a senior management level for 10 years. As a Co-Founder and COO of Uniqkid, she will work towards building self-empowerment programs to help individuals strive to achieve the goal of living independently.

Meet our current team

Dr. Galina Mironova, MD

Galina is the nutritional guide for the children and the families enrolled in Uniqkid’s Sport and fitness programs. She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the University of Bridgeport College and has worked in pediatrics. Dr. Mironova has completed a training program, working with autistic children and is an active contributor to the program development at Uniqkid, Inc.

Alexander Burman, Esq.

Alexander is the General Counsel for Uniqkid, and a member of the Board of Directors. He graduated from New York Law School in 2008 and was admitted to the Bar in 2009. At Uniqkid, Alexander serves as an advisor for the development and funding process of the organization. He owns a private practice law firm and dedicates some of his time to pro bono non-profit formation and compliance.

Yevgeny Rozenberg, Speech Language Pathologist

Yevgeny is the behavior and communication specialist who will work closely with staff and families to implement communication strategies in accordance with program guidelines. He holds a Master’s degree from Long Island University and has an extensive background working with special needs population and language disorders in all age categories.
